Even the best of consulting relationships can get difficult when we decide to move ahead with a project and gather the data we need to solve the business problem. Why? Because we often ignore the political system we are operating in and focus on just data and facts.

We view the personal complaints from people in the system as distractions. We also intuitively realize that what the client wants, won't solve the problem. So how do we tell the client what we know they don't want to hear?

Too often, we take the easy road and ignore the underlying issues.

And too often, we view this stage of the consulting process as data collection and diagnosis, failing to realize that the answer is already in the room.

Flawless Consulting 2: Discovery & Feedback will provide you with the skills to uncover the social system in which the technical solutions and recommendations, you and the client developed, will be put into action.

This workshop is for internal and external consultants – e.g. change agents, IT specialists, accountants, financial analysts and auditors, systems analysts, corporate planners, performance consultants, management systems consultants, marketing and sales specialists, and training and HR partners - seeking to build and nurture successful business partnerships.

More specifically, this workshop, designed by Peter Block, helps internal consultants provide real feedback in ways that consolidate the client/consultant relationship and build trust. Rather than living as if we are captured by the political system, we can develop the skills to become advocates for our clients' own self-discovery and self-sufficiency.

All participants are offered a 60-day access to the digital learning materials, and will each benefit from a 30-minute individual coaching session following the workshop.

This workshop will be facilitated by Joseph Maalouf, founder of Effiqual and a Designed Learning consultant since 1993.

The "Flawless Consulting 2: Discovery & Feedback" enables participants to:

• Learn and apply a data collection and diagnosis model
• Conduct structured interviews to collect data around a business issue
• Deal with resistance in the data collection process
• Acquire skills to turn feedback into a decision to act
• Conduct a successful feedback meeting
• Identify methods for mapping out action steps with client prior to implementation
• Secure client commitment 

The three-day agenda includes:

Day 1:

• Introduction – Contracting revisited
• Forming consulting teams
• Teams prepare contracting meeting
• Teams conduct contracting meeting with client

Day 2:

• Discovery phase: Data collection and diagnosis
• Resistance in data collection interviews
• Teams conduct data collection interviews
• Teams organize the data

Day 3:

• The feedback phase
• Developing and giving impactful feedback
• Resistance in feedback meetings
• Planning and conducting feedback meetings
• Final feedback on consulting strengths
• Integrating the learning

A personalized certificate of participation will be handed out to participants upon completion of the workshop.

The virtual training will be spread over 3 days, with one 3.5-hour session per day.
